Will my state licensing board accept your courses?
We are ANCC and State Board approved. Nursing boards in all 50 states and the District of Columbia accept our courses. We are an approved provider of continuing education courses by the Maryland Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (PJ06-6-1203-1203), the California Board of Registered Nursing (Provider No. CEP14669), the Florida Board of Nursing (Provider No. 50-7262) and the District of Columbia Board of Nursing (Provider No. 50-7262). Other state licensing boards accept continuing education courses that have received the prior approval from other state nursing boards, ANCC or other organizations that provide course accreditation.
In addition to being accepted by the ANCC and state nursing boards, our courses are regularly accepted by numerous other organizations.

Will your courses be accepted for my certification needs?
CEU Professor's courses are good for RNs, LPNs, CNAs, APNs, ARNPs, CCMCs, etc. CEU Professor's courses are regularly accepted for numerous other certification requirements, such as AANA and CCRN, so long as the course content meets the necessary requirements. All of our courses go through a peer review process by a group of 3 nurses.
Approval of courses by other associations must be obtained by you, by submitting the certificate of completion, course material, and any other forms or information required by such other associations.
Please always check with the licensing agency for your specific license or accreditation to determine if the courses provided herein will meet their specific requirements. It is always the student's responsibility to determine if courses taken meet his or her specific requirements.

Do you report to CE Broker?
Yes. We report to CE Broker for our Florida Nurses. Please make sure we have your correct license number. The license number must include the letters of your license (for example, if you are an RN and your license number is 012345, the license number field should read 'RN012345') . You will provide this number when you initially sign up with us. You can also check this number at any time in the User Panel after logging into your account.
Reporting to CE Broker takes place within 5 days following the end of the month. For example, for courses completed in the month of July, reporting will be completed by August 5th. Please know that Florida actually allows us 90 days after the course completion dates to complete the reporting. Also, Florida does not rely on the information in the CE Broker system when it comes to your license renewal.

How do I report my CEUs to my state nursing board?
Every state has different procedures for reporting the successful completion of continuing education requirements. Please contact your board for their specific procedures.
All states accept our courses. However, because we are a provider approved by Florida and California, we do not have the ability to report the successful completion of CEUs by nurses of other states to their specific state nursing boards.

Are your courses accepted for my Florida, California, or Texas state-specific requirements?
Yes. We are an approved provider by Florida and California. So long as the subject matter of the course is on the specific requirements you need, the course will be accepted by these boards.
In addition, we have courses that will satisfy mandated requirements by other states. For instance, our Biodefense course will satisfy the specific needs of our Texas and Nevada clients. All courses that satisfy state-specific needs are categorized under that state's name.

Will I receive continuing education credits for taking online courses?
Yes. Upon taking a course and successfully passing the test, a certificate of completion is made immediately available for printing.
Some states limit the number of contact hours that may be taken online. Please check with your licensing board to determine how many credits you may obtain online.

Does the $28.95 really include all courses for one year?
Yes. The $28.95 cost of the subscription allows you to take all of our courses and receive all the contact hours you need for a full 12 months from the purchase date. There are no additional per-course fees. There are also no additional fees for certificates or test retakes.

What is a "Card Code," as referred to on the Sign-Up form?
The Card Code is the 3 to 4 digit code on the back of your credit card, typically on the right side of the signature line.

What is the difference between a Contact Hour and a CEU?
CEU and Contact Hour are two ways to measure the time it takes to complete a course. No matter which method is used, all of CEU Professor's courses will satisfy the requirement.
One CEU is equal to 10 Contact Hours. Generally a nurse's continuing education requirement is measured in Contact Hours. For example, your state nursing board may require you to take 30 Contact Hours every 2 years. However, your state nursing board may require you to take 3 CEUs. The 3 CEUs is equal to 30 Contact Hours. Whichever way it is measured, you will still be taking the same number of courses.

How do your online courses work?
Online education courses are offered as text of the course material for reading and images for descriptive purposes that are relevant to the course material.
Upon registering for a course, you will be given instant access to the course material. Upon completing the material, a multiple-choice test will be given to gauge your understanding of the course material. Upon successfully passing the test with a grade of 70% or higher, a certificate of completion will be available for immediate printing.

How does the Subscription Plan work?
When you purchase our Subscription Plan, you will be able to take unlimited continuing education credits for one year (twelve full months from your enrollment date) for one low price.
Each registered user of CEU Professor has a personal User Panel, which you will see upon logging into your account. From the User Panel, you have the ability to add any course you would like to take. To do this, simply click Add Courses link . From there you will be able to select from all of our course offerings.

What if I have multiple state licenses? The sign-up process only allows me to enter one.
You will have the ability to enter different license numbers once you are logged into the User Panel. When you're logged in, there is a button to update your account information. You can enter different license numbers here to have certificates printed with the different numbers.

Can I print a course out to read at my leisure, and then return to the site later to take the test?
Yes. All courses are in PDF format. The file for a course can be accessed from that course's learning area . A PDF file is a file that can be accessed using the free software Adobe Reader. If you do not have Adobe Reader, please visit this site to download and install it www.adobe.com.

I don't see my topic listed?
If you don’t see a topic you are looking for, please contact our Customer Support Department. It is possible that a course of interest is being developed, but is not yet listed on the website. Also, we develop our course topics primarily on the feedback of our customers. If you let us know a topic you are interested in, we can better plan our future course offerings.

How many times am I allowed to take a test if I fail?
You may take the tests for a course as many times as you like. The course material is always available for you to review prior to retaking a test.

Does your system keep a history of all courses I take?
Yes. A list of all courses you take is maintained on your personal User Panel. Each time you login, you will see a list of the courses you have taken. From this list, you can print additional certificates of completion as needed.

Can I cancel my purchase and receive a refund?
Refunds are available within 30 days from the purchase date. If no tests have been completed, whereby certificates were not generated, the refund is made with no questions asked. If a test has been completed, whereby certificates have been generated, then a signed statement (an email is fine) must be sent to CEU Professor stating that the certificates will not be used. This policy is the same for individual purchases and the Subscription Plan. Under the Subscription Plan, if the test for any one course is passed, a statement that the certificates will not be used must be submitted.
For a refund of book purchases, the book must be returned before any refund can be processed. The book must be returned in new condition. If the test for a book course has been completed, whereby certificates have been generated, then a signed statement (an email is fine) must be sent to CEU Professor stating that the certificates will not be used.

Does the Subscription Plan automatically renew each year?
No. The purchase of our Subscription Plan is a one-time purchase. It is not a membership that automatically renews.
